The first retro ASCII/ANSI art message at the top of this post is truly sincere with regard to the movies I watched last night (Tuesday March 31, 2026 @22:00 EST). Both movies are absolutely awesome and really add to the Marvel/Disney cosmos.
I consider Shhhh! Digital Media an *independent* ally of all content creators who cherish the spirit of pioneers like:
Mary Blair, Retta Scott, Bianca Majolie, Walt Disney, Joe Shuster (Superman co/creator and a fellow Canadian and Torontonian like myself), Jerry Siegel, Bob Kane, Stan Lee and Jack Kirby.
In Asia, Osamu Tezuka, Katsuhiro Otomo (Akira), the Wan brothers, Shin Dong-hun and Payut Ngaokrachang are largely recognized as the pioneers of modern anime.
With the help of their fellow artists and the performers who embody their characters in live performances, these are the people who started all of what eventually became the phenomenon that we enjoy today.
Next time, we'll look at the coders and musicians: pioneers of software and music who started digital art/audio/visual, animation and modern CGI movements, those who write the code and music that gives live action and animation in creative story telling its soul...
I'm sharing this not as a means to be rid of it (or anything for that matter). I've actually never been that way at all. I'm sharing it to honour their impact upon us all.
