Nobody has black skin, and nobody has white skin and no two people have *exactly* the same skin colour and that's a scientific fact: *everyone* has an entirely unique skin colour.

Sunday In The Shire!

From the shocking dichotomy of the most dangerous organism in the universe, we're doing an about face and spending time with the tiniest and most vulnereable organism in the universe. A little baby!

After the horror of Alien Day, we're off to a less volatile universe in the form of a medieval fantasy world and another one of my favourite films.


Long before legendary director/producer Peter Jackson gave epic life to medieval fantasy by bringing J.R.R. Tolkien's 3rd Age to the big screen, George Lucas and ILM, along with an extraordinary cast and crew put the spotlight on little people, employing a cast of them to bring his Dungeons And Dragons campaign setting to life (George Lucas and Steven Spielberg were both fans of Dungeons And Dragons). Spielberg even ran a campaign as Dungeon Master for the cast of his film E.T.


Some call these little people Hobbits. Others call them Halflings. The more brash Daikinis (humans) of Lucas' fantasy world call them the slang: Pecks. In his fantasy world, they're formally called the Nelwyn.

Much like J.R.R. Tolkien's Hobbits, they live in a Shire-like village with their families, farms and a powerful yet humble Sorceror (played by Billy Barty) who every year takes on an apprentice.

However, these little people become the true heroes when they come to the protection of an even smaller and more vulnerable person than themselves: an abandoned Daikini child. Just as with the hit films Ne Zha & Ne Zha 2, the little people of this fantasy world become the giants in true heroic style.

That's the theme for today's watch party, Sunday In The Shire!

A great flick to watch for fans of the genre, and one that still holds up to this day, not to mention, its family friendly. Not only that, but I'll be watching it in the background as I continue Baldur's Gate 3 campaign as a custom character Half Cambion Sorceror...



I'll be starting the movie at 1:30 PM on Sunday afternoon, so if you already have the movie on your streaming service (Willow is available on Disney+), just sync-up for a 1:30 PM start.
