What Happened To A Lady's Prerogative?

So you want to know what happened with my own A Lady's Prerogative storyline, which I first started writing in its latest incarnation in 2010. But like most of what I have here on Shhhh! Digital Media, it was derived from short stories I wrote when I was around 11 or 12 years old (back in the late 1970s early 1980s).

What happened to Mila, Nelony and Shaela? What about Sato and Barris? Yirfir and Jasmer? Xenshi and Xuxu (sometimes spelled Xushu)? Athandra, Kenshin and Sir Manfred? Askuwheteau?

Well, for one thing, they aren't gone. They're just on an extended vacation. I hit several roadblocks while I was writing Singularity, which would have been the third book in the ALP series, and after several attempts at revamping the storyline, I put it on hold so I could focus on Butterfly Dragon.

Just like with the Butterfly Dragon and a lot of my effort on creating Shhhh! Digital Media, there had been many attempts to steal the books from me and a lot of harassment from abusive neighbours and others out on the internet in a variety of very contrived forms, that I just decided that I'd had enough. There are people out there who take the movie The Matrix a little too far, if you know what I mean. A great movie and concept, but there are people who've turned it into something quite toxic unfortuantely and I'm sure that's in contradiction to the vision of the Wachowskis. So I contend with toxic people of that nature quite frequently and its quite taxing on me, but they're always the ones who attack first. Hence the rant posts are usually a protest to that sort of thing.

So you could say that the characters of A Lady's Prerogative are in stasis for now until I choose to resurrect them. The Butterfly Dragon is helping me to take on these issues directly, while bringing awareness to a lot of people with regard to something just under the surface that might be the source of a lot of malice currently. As a matter of fact, I've had a LOT of discrete feedback about Butterfly Dragon and how on the money it is in exposing this "thing". So I intend to take it all the way, but its been a very difficult road in getting there.

Perhaps the characters of ALP will come back at some point in the future, but at this time they're currently in the Midspace until further notice. I have no plans to write anything for them soon, but in the next few months that might change. However, if you've been keeping up with the storyline, you'll already know that at least two characters from ALP have direct involvement in the events of The Two Dragons and The Two Butterflies... That might lead somewhere in the future.

I worked on coding earlier today (Saturday) and got a bit done. I'm just going over my grocery list for next week now, and ensuring that its got all the good food I love and that it fits my budget correctly.

After that I'm going to play something. I don't know what. Maybe Conan. Maybe something else.

Have a good weekend and I'll see you on Monday. Nothing I've stated here is the opposite of what I've expressed. Hate isn't love and love isn't hate and I'm definitely not on that side of the fence. I say what I mean and mean what I say. My own love interest is Asian and that is that. I'm Canadian and I live in Canada in Toronto, Ontario.

Oh and as per usual, I'm not a Presbyterian and never have been. Nor am I a Seventh Day Adventist and never have been. I'm not a Lutheran and I have never have been. I'm an Atheist and I lean toward Buddhism and Taoism and that is my right as much so as is anyone else's right to their beliefs.

PS: The rant that preceded Episode 6 of We Who Stand On Guard was NOT hate speech and did not qualify as such. I already took it down because I don't want Shhhh! Digital to turn into a garbage dump  of my rants that only end up validating the abusive people who provoked them.

I checked it carefully after I'd written and published it, and there is nothing in it that qualified it as hate speech and actually it defended culture, especially Asian culture. Much of what the cult that conducts the harassment however violates the Charter Of Rights And Freedoms and the Human Rights Act.

Freedom of speech isn't a one way dialogue where someone says something abrasive to someone else constistently until that person responds to that abrasiveness in any way that confronts it, and when they do, they've somehow violated the free speech of the person who initiated it. The verbal confrontation that deals with verbal abrasiveness is also free speech, rather than an attempt to stop it, and any attempt to curb a person's right to verbal defense is a violation of free speech.

Now in Canada, there are hate speech laws, which require us to be responsible with what we say and how we say it and I believe that overall, this is a good thing.

Unfortunately in Canada there are people who attempt to create social pressure cookers using Canada's hate speech laws. There are people who will attempt to torment others, often from identifiable groups who purposely cause undo stress to innocent people (who are also often members of identifiable groups) to the point that they reach their breaking point, and then rant in violation of the hate speech laws of Canada.

So in a sense, there are people that use those laws strategically to abuse others, knowing that if they can boil the person over, that the responsibility is in the victim's lap rather than the verbal abusers and harassers who started it. There needs to be something legally that deals with this misuse of Canada's laws to violate the peace and prosperity of others, who've strategically been boiled over on purpose by malicious people, in my humble opinion.
