Birthdays And A Bumpy Road Ahead...

Hi again. I'm back for a short post and (small but significant) updates to both A Lady's Prerogative III: Singularity and Stories From The End, thanks wholly to a neighbour and good friend of mine, Alondra whom I'd like to take a moment to thank and to wish him a very Happy Birthday! If you happen to see him or know him, send him some good birthday wishes.

Ironically, it was my birthday a couple of days ago in mid November (yes, I'm that sign), though I plan to celebrate in December when I'm financially fixed a bit better for such an endeavor and hopefully to enjoy such celebration in good company. In the absence thereof, I'll accept such celebration with a night of food, drink and writing for my loyal and avid readers. I will also certainly enjoy the company of my many YouTube subscriptions. Friendship and allegiance has taken on a whole new meaning since the arrival of the new millennium.

Latest design work on Shaela Sheowellyn.
Her initial designs go back as far as the early 1990s
(heavily influenced by Siouxie Sioux,
of Siouxie And The Banshees).
For the time being, updates will be sparse until I can get myself connected properly and safely. Many good things are in place, so this might be the light at the end of the tunnel, as is the case with the upcoming Winter Solstice, which is the shortest day of the year, hence every day from that point onward we're privy to just a little bit more light. Of course, if you're like Shaela Sheowellyn, you'll realize that for there to be shadows, there needs to be light.

To keep you salivating, here's a sample of some of the upcoming artwork for A Lady's Prerogative. Stories From The End will also get its first round of artwork sometime in January or February if I can manage it.

As far as the Butterfly Dragon is concerned, this is all part of my plan. After all, I wanted to step aside while Shang Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings took the spotlight in showcasing the Marvel Cinematic Universe's first Chinese Superhero. That's a big thing, and it is certainly a big thing for me. I don't have the kind of reach that big publishers have. So when they showcase something of that kind of importance, its important to me not to get in the way with my mostly underground, cult-like following. The good kind of cult and believe me, its a great honour.

There's plenty of other stuff to focus on, especially with A Lady's Prerogative and my renewed vigor for Stories From The End, which is headed into some very difficult territory, especially in terms of mature elements and themes within. Family was always a big aspect of Stories From The End, and that is going to really come into conflict with the challenges of the modern social idiom.

I'll do my best to keep these updates coming, and additions to the stories in the meantime while I'm in the rough of no connection, but as Ringo Starr once said:

I get by with a little help from my friends... oooh

I get high with a little from my friends... oooh

I'm gonna try with a little help from friends...

Again, thanks Alondra for the opportunity to get these posts up and once again, a very Happy Birthday to you my friend!

In a few moments, the (small but significant) additions to A Lady's Prerogative III - Singularity and Stories From The End will be posted...

Muchos Gracias to Alondra and friends for the opportunity to share this...
