To The People Out And About During My Travels...

Hi. Well here we go for another long winded post.

What I'd like to say is to all of the people out there in the city of Toronto, along Queen Street, on Parliament Street, at Value Village, at Dollarama and finally the LCBO and then on my way home north along Sherbourne Street up to apartment 701 at 200 Sherbourne Street where I live, all of you who showed sincere kindness, laughter, camaraderie and comedy, thank you. You've restored my faith in human kind.

To the ones who were treacherous and tried to push me to meanness and anger, well you're about done with me. I don't want to waste any more time on you than necessary.

It was great at the Value Village on Queen Street near Carlaw Avenue. I truly found some treasures which I was able to procure for a reasonable price and make my way home, dealing with the adversity along the way as best I could which is probably better than most in my position could.

So to those sincerely and truly good people who engendered friendship and kindness rather than spark hatred and hell, you left an impression upon me. I'll stick with what you gave me rather than focus upon the other side of that equation.

Maybe, just maybe, I'll continue writing despite cursing up and down that I'd never write again. I mean I really love writing A Lady's Prerogative and The Butterfly Dragon and Stories From The End. Not as avenues through which to vent, which I never use them for but more so as venues to lighten the pressure on others who don't always have a voice, or feel that they don't.

I've stated before that sometimes when you hear someone else speak up about a problem or issue that has affected you, it validates you and suddenly you don't feel so alone as you once may have been. That's the power of words and writing. Sure, they might not be action but they certainly have the power of action. Every declaration of war and every peace treaty ever signed was created with words, not to mention that they are the channels through which some of our most ancient knowledge is contained either through writing or oral tradition. Words have the power to save lives and to allow us to explore without the risk associated with action, and to learn from it as if we had taken action.

So thank you for your sincerely kind and encouraging words and encouragement those of you who expressed them and weren't so clinically detached from regarding me as a human being rather than a cow or robot to fuel the lives of your friends and colleagues.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart,

Oh and one last thing. Here's an image taken of the contribution that Shhhh! Digital has made to scientific research through World Community Grid to fight disease globally. I have computers running 24/7 crunching numbers for science and the fight against disease. This is something else that Shhhh! Digital is about. I actually have teams for A Lady's Prerogative and The Butterfly Dragon that contribute to research around the clock.

Here's the results from our World Community Grid contributions so far:
